For many Germans, a holiday in Italy has for a long time simply been part of the summer. Most of them are attracted to the Upper Adriatic, where the most popular holiday resort is certainly Jesolo. Besides the long sandy beach, which invites you to sunbathe and relax, the town also offers a wide range of leisure activities, beautiful nature in the hinterland and exciting excursions.

Sandy beach as the centre of interest The Lido di Jesolo peninsula is more than 15 kilometres long and has long since established itself as a popular holiday destination. This is not only due to its convenient location, but also to the extensive tourist facilities with numerous hotels, holiday apartments and entertainment facilities. In addition to internationally renowned brands and boutiques, the weekly market with regional delicacies, which takes place every Friday, is an experience for visitors.

However, the main attraction for many tourists is the 15 kilometres long, fine sandy beach and the shallowly sloping sea. This has made Jesolo a popular destination, especially for families with children. In addition to the numerous activities in the water and on land such as surfing, diving, sailing or water skiing, sports enthusiasts will also find numerous opportunities to play golf or tennis or to explore the surrounding area by bicycle.

Those who do not want to enjoy the sea directly at the Lido di Jesolo will find the Pineta as a place to relax in the eastern zone near the pine forest, at the mouth of the Piave river. Here everyone can enjoy the wonderful blue sea and the long sandy beach without having to set up camp directly in Jesolo. Cortellazzo is a welcome alternative to Jesolo for many tourists.

For families there are numerous possibilities for excursions in the surrounding area, with the Aqualandia water amusement park being particularly popular with children. Sea Lifes or Tropicarium are also very popular as an alternative to a day at the beach. The aim is not only to enjoy fun and games, but also to learn a lot about the flora and fauna in and around the sea. If you want to experience nature up close, the best thing is to take a trip on the Moby Dick ship or spend a relaxing day at the Jesolo Golf Club.

Jesolo itself is mainly established as a holiday resort and offers a lot of entertainment and lifestyle. If you don't want to miss out on sightseeing during your holiday, you can make an excursion to Venedi. From Punta Sabbioni there are regular boats that go to the lagoon city. There, guests should take a closer look at the Doge's palaces on Piazza San Marco. Of course a walk across the Rialto Bridge and the famous Piazza San Marco is also an experience.

In addition to this excursion, there is also the possibility to travel from Jesolo to Padua, Treviso or to the worth seeing port city of Trieste with its charming old town. For holidaymakers who are simply interested in sun, beach and sea, Jesolo offers everything their heart desires. The beach not only offers relaxation and fun in the water during the day, but also serves as a venue for events during the summer. In addition to festivals and shows, there are also sporting events for all ages, making family fun a priority.
