At the most northern tip of the island Mauritius there is Cape Malheureux, a picturesque coastal strip of the island that offers a great view to the Indian Ocean. There, beaches as the beach of Pointe aux Pimenrsach, the Choisy Beach or the beach at Coin de Mire are waiting for the swimmer and sunbathers. If one arrived with small children, then the lagoon at Pereybere is an ideal place for bathing, as here, the beach only falls very shallowly into the sea and thus, also small children can splash here without any concerns.

Those who have the chance to visit Mauritius at a time where beautiful festivities take place should take the opportunity and for example admire the pilgrims at the Shivaratree festival. A holiday in Mauritius must not only be a great beach holiday, those who explore the island can get some insights into an exotic culture.
